We’ve just completed a significant round of investment and are growing fast, accelerating an ambitious technical roadmap that will ready our product for global domination and we’re looking for a seasoned quality analyst to lead our test team, wringing-out every last bug with an ever-expanding automated test suite.
We’ll be honest – this role is not for the aloof delegator type. It’s a sleeves-up, hands-on, automation test-fest, leading by example amongst a high-calibre team of talented engineers, designers and commercial visionaries to create groundbreaking products the world has never seen before.
It’ll flex all of your software-destruction muscles, from devising detailed and efficient testing strategies to rolling up your sleeves and showing the young ’uns how it’s done. Working as part of the broader Agile product team, you’ll be wholly responsible for the release-worthiness of our first-of-a-kind product, encompassing a host of web applications, mobile apps, APIs and micro-services.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
Leading and mentoring the QA team
Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Creating test strategies and plans to achieve maximum coverage
Designing, developing and executing automation scripts
Creating detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimating, prioritising, planning and coordinating quality testing activities
Identifying, recording, documenting and tracking bugs
Developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
Investigating problems found in software as a result of testing
Working with the QA team and software developers to find solutions
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
Hands-on experience leading a software QA team
Excellent problem solving skills
Working knowledge of test frameworks/suites
Strong experience using Selenium, Webdriver or other tools
Competent in at least one programming language suitable for web/hybrid mobile automation
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Understanding of Microservices and endpoint testing
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
