Are you a fastidious software tester with a penchant for detail? Do you get a kick out of wringing every last bug out of a groundbreaking product? Are you a dab-hand at automating mobile, web or API testing?
We’ve just completed a significant round of investment and are growing fast, accelerating an ambitious technical roadmap that will ready our product for global domination and we’re looking for meticulous, detail-oriented software testers to make sure it stays rock solid with an ever-evolving automated test suite.
We’ll be honest – this role is not for spare-time tinkerers. It’s a veritable sleeves-up, hands-on, automation test-fest, working with a high-calibre team of talented engineers, designers and commercial visionaries to create groundbreaking products the world has never seen before.
It’ll flex all of your software-breaking muscles, from good old fashioned manual testing to fully-automated regression packs for web applications, mobile apps, APIs and micro-services. Working as part of a broader Agile team, you’ll be fully responsible for your own contribution, delivering against commercial imperatives in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
Reviewing requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
Assisting in the creation of test strategies and plans to achieve maximum coverage
Designing, developing and executing automation scripts
Writing and performing test-plans and test-cases
Identifying, recording and tracking bugs
Mentoring junior team members
Investigating problems found in software as a result of testing
Working with QA team and software developers to find solutions
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
Excellent problem solving skills
Working knowledge of test frameworks/suites
Strong experience using Selenium, Webdriver or other tools
Experience in at least one programming language suitable for web/hybrid mobile automation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience writing test plans and test cases
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
To really knock our socks off, you might also have: (though definitely not required)
ISTQB certification
- Experience and understanding of testing RESTful APIs (including authentication and authorisation, API responses and API response codes)
- Experience working with Web Data format Notations (JSON, XML or equivalent)
- Experience with continuous integration, continuous deployment tools
- Exposure to Database systems (DB queries, Updates etc.)
- Exposure to Cloud technologies
