Apprentice Digital Support Technician Level 3Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, UK
Are you a passionate self-starter who would give their right arm to be fast-tracked into the world of software development? Are you bright, enthusiastic and eager to get your hands dirty?
We’ve just completed a significant round of investment and are growing fast, revolutionising the way companies do business. We’re helping some big-name clients go digital, building a raft of mobile apps at break-neck speed and we’re looking for passionate, resourceful apprentices to help us deliver.
This is without doubt the best apprenticeship opportunity you’re likely to find anywhere on Earth. Just ask one of our former interns, who without any programming experience found herself building tablet apps for Audi and got to present her work to senior management within Virgin Trains. There are grey-haired programmers who haven’t hit that career-goal, even after decades of writing code!
We’ll be honest – this apprenticeship is not something you do just to keep your parents happy. It’s a sleeves-up, hands-on, get-stuff-done rollercoaster of a scheme, working with a world-class team of talented engineers, designers, marketers and commercial visionaries delivering groundbreaking solutions to demanding clients.
Day-to-day, you’ll be:
Building mobile apps for clients
Manning the service desk
Providing first-line technical support
Designing and mapping-out apps to client specifications
Creating the best solution for the client
Using Rest APIs to connect apps to client’s back-office systems
SAT (internal) and UAT (external) testing of apps prior to release
Processing change requests and modifying apps after BETA testing
General office administration
Supporting management wherever else necessary subject to capacity and demand
